While watching The Last House, I started saving screenshots of brands and products that caught my eye.
There was quite a mix. Food and drinks, Lego, Vans, Puma, and for some reason, a lot of U-Haul.
Here’s what I found.
Cheetos and Cheerios
Starting in the kitchen. A bag of Cheetos and a box of Cheerios are sitting in the background.
Hunt’s, Hershey’s, Heinz and Campbell’s
There’s more in the kitchen. Hunt’s ketchup, Hershey’s syrup, Heinz and Campbell’s can all be seen in the same shot.
I probably missed a few things on those shelves too.
Lego
This one doesn’t need much detective work. That’s a Lego bag.
Mountain Dew
Only part of the Mountain Dew box makes it into the frame here. I spotted it twice in the movie.
Orville Redenbacher’s Popcorn
Orville Redenbacher’s Movie Theater Butter popcorn.
Had to include this one. Movie theater popcorn showing up in a movie is kind of perfect.
Vans
I kept seeing the same Vans throughout the movie. They show up in several scenes, including this one with the dog.

Puma
The Puma shorts come back a few times too. I counted four scenes.
U-Haul
And then there’s U-Haul.
I noticed the first truck in the background and didn’t think anything of it.
Then another showed up.
By the end I had five separate U-Haul sightings.
I have no idea if that was intentional or if U-Haul trucks just happened to be around the locations they used. But five was enough for me to start counting.
